If you have a certain amount of digital coins in your wallet, you have probably asked yourself, "Where can I spend my cryptocurrency?" Today, in Europe, you can find many pharmacies, gas stations, cinemas, and online and offline stores that accept crypto as payment.

We have prepared an overview of establishments and retail stores where you can pay with digital money just like with cash or a card.

Restaurants, Food, and Drinks for Crypto

Want to order a coffee for crypto? If you have a Starbucks card, you can top it up with Bitcoins or other coins through the coffee shop's app. The funds will be credited to your account and converted to fiat using the Bakkt Starbucks payment system.

At Burger King, you can buy a hamburger, salad, fries, and other fast food for crypto. The company has outlets in France, Spain, Germany, and other European countries. To make a payment, you need to purchase a Burger King gift card through the BitPay app or extension, paying for it with tokens. You can choose the amount yourself.

Konzum is the first supermarket network in Croatia that allows you to pay for purchases with cryptocurrencies. So far, this option is available only for online orders, but in the future, the company intends to add this option to offline stores as well. The following cryptocurrencies are accepted for payment: Bitcoin, Ethereum, BCH, Stellar, USDT, DAI, USDC, Ripple, and Tether.

Medicines

You can buy medicines for Bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies in pharmacies such as Aliberti Pharmacy (Italy) and MedExpress (an online pharmacy in the UK that delivers medicines throughout Europe).

Gas stations

In 2021, Tifon, a Croatian fuel retail and wholesale company, added cryptocurrency payments to 46 gas stations across the country. Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, EOS, and Stellar are available for payment. Tifon processes payments through the Paycek service developed by a local fintech startup.

Insurance

Atupri Health is the first insurance company in Switzerland to accept Bitcoins to pay for a health insurance policy. AXA is another operator in this country that accepts crypto payments for all its services except life insurance.

Traveling

AirBaltic (Latvia) is the first airline in the world to add Bitcoin payments for airline tickets. Today, in cooperation with BitPay, it also accepts Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Dogecoin to pay for bookings made on its website.

Vueling (Spain) is a low-cost airline that accepts payments in cryptocurrency. The airline uses UATP technology, a global network for the aviation industry, to process transactions.

Destinia is a global online travel agency that allows Europeans to book airline tickets, hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages for cryptocurrency. Customers can immediately specify the desired coin on the website, after which prices for services will be displayed in its equivalent. If a traditional currency is initially selected, users are redirected to the GoCoin module during the checkout process, where they are offered to choose cryptocurrency as a payment method.

Entertainment

Moviegoers can purchase tickets and souvenirs using cryptocurrency in the AMC Theaters app or on the website. The Bitpay service is used to process transactions. AMC Theaters now accepts DOGE, SHIB, BTC, BCH, LTC, XRP, and ETH.

Appliances, cosmetics, clothing

Newegg is an online electronics store that has been considered a champion of cryptocurrency payments for many years. Customers can buy any equipment for their offices or homes and pay for their orders with cryptocurrency as easily as with any other payment method.

Overstock.com accepted Bitcoins back in 2014. It offers a wide range of products: from furniture and decor to electronics and clothing.

Lush, a handmade cosmetics company, was one of the first global companies to integrate cryptocurrencies back in 2017. Customers pay for orders with Bitcoins on the store's website via Bitpay.com.

Many sellers on Etsy and Shopify accept payments in crypto for their unique, often handmade products.

Digital products

Microsoft allows customers to use Bitcoins to purchase digital products in its Windows and Xbox stores.

Express VPN, known for its strict privacy policy, provides secure and anonymous VPN services that you can purchase with digital coins.

Mega.nz is a cloud storage provider that offers encrypted file hosting services. Users can upgrade their plans using Bitcoins, which reflects Mega.nz's commitment to privacy and modern payment technologies.
